  • Sedgefield is a historic market town located in County Durham, North East England. It’s known for its charming Georgian architecture, strong community feel, and picturesque countryside surroundings and lies roughly midway between Durham City and Stockton-on-Tees.

  • It's part of the Durham countryside, with easy access to both rural areas and larger towns/cities.

Transport & Road Links:

  • A1(M): About 6 miles west of Sedgefield. The A1(M) provides fast north-south access—north to Newcastle, south to Darlington and beyond.

  • A19: Around 5 miles east, also easily accessible. This road runs parallel to the A1(M) and connects to Teesside, Sunderland, and Middlesbrough.

  • These major roads make Sedgefield ideal for commuters, offering rural charm with solid transport connections.

Parking:​​

  • It is free to park in the centre of Sedgefield. Please be aware that there are some waiting time restrictions in some sections of the High Street.

  • Sedgefield Library. TS21 3AT (Please be aware there are some time restrictions that you must adhere to in this car park).

  • Please be aware that parking bays on the High Street are limited and the area can be extremely busy at times. You may need to find parking beyond the High Street. If you are visiting Pippa Anderson Voice, we kindly ask that you allow extra time for parking so you can arrive promptly for your lesson.

Key Features:

  • 🏰 Historic Significance: Sedgefield dates back to Saxon times and has a well-preserved town centre with historic buildings like St Edmund's Church, which dates back to the 13th century.

  • 🛍️ Local Life: It has a traditional market, cosy pubs, cafes, and small shops. The community is active, with regular events and fairs.
